Are you studying and would like to deepen your knowledge in practice? Then we offer you the opportunity to get to know interesting projects as part of an internship at our location in Štěnovice or in our parent company in Germany. STREICHER offers scholarships for applicants of all qualifications. During the traineeship, STREICHER provides protective equipment, work clothes, transport and lunch allowances.
An internship at STREICHER offers extensive opportunities to acquire specialist knowledge both for your BA theses and for any employment.
Jakub Červený is a 3rd year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia and is also part of our design team. Here he works on the further development of the S-Cube modular vacuum chamber system which we developed here in Štěnovice.
Jakub, what is the topic of your bachelor thesis?
The topic of my BA thesis is “Production Technology Design of Aluminium Optical Tables.” These optical tables are used in a vacuum environment. Their use in the field of production technology is not trivial - which is due, among other things, to the imperfections of aluminium. For this reason, this task is extremely complex in the context of the S-Cube project. The project itself focuses on the production of modular vacuum chambers with great variability in assembly and other aspects, precisely tailored to potential customer requirements.
What exactly are you currently working on?
In addition to writing a BA thesis, I am learning a lot about the processes within the company. Currently, I am working at the Department of Production Process Design. This job includes learning how to work with company software information systems, technical drawings, production planning and communication with a range of company departments, from construction, where the products are designed, to production and the delivery of the finished product to the customer. I believe this opportunity will provide me with a solid future in the field of mechanical engineering. Theoretical study cannot replace information and expertise gained through practical experience.
